Interview & Evaluation

At Cerco we are proud of the fact that all of our professionals are personally interviewed. We don't believe in selecting candidates for our customers simply by qualifying a CV. We travel across the UK, Ireland and Germany holding recruitment days. We interview those people wanting to start a new career as well as those that may have worked in more specialist roles such as Server Engineers and Network administrator. Our industry is extremely fast paced it is therefore very difficult to have a job role, advertise it, interview for it and then for it to still be available after that time. In this instance we'd prefer to advertise the roles as we receive them and in-turn meet the people. If the role is filled at least we will have quality candidates ready for the next opportunity.

The Process

3. Personal Interview

We are not simply looking for the candidates with good technical ability. We crave a positive attitude and a determination to succeed. Many candidates we see already have experience of the industry and/or have been technically trained elsewhere (such as the Military) therefore potentially possessing the skills required technically. Providing these people possess the interpersonal skills, pass our tests and successfully complete our Pre-Employment Process they will be assisted into either a 'live' role or the next role at our earliest opportunity.

We meet literally hundreds of motivated self-taught people each year. They have strong interpersonal skills and are extremely flexible and motivated. Due to the fact they have no industry experience often means they have 'gaps' in their knowledge. For these candidates we offer £2999 worth of IT Training free. The training is taken in Cheshire over a 2 week period. Candidates still need to find their own travel expenses, accommodation and sustenance. The course, instructor and materials are all free. The course is intensive and is 9am -5pm Monday to Friday,

Why would we do this? We can't simply put adverts on the internet and judge people on a CV! Our competitors do this and then continually provide candidates to their customers that are unpredictable and sporadic in terms of quality. We do not wish to become this sort of Recruitment Agency. CV's simply do not tell you how a person will perform in a role. Only through personal evaluation and testing and/or residentially training can you find an insight.

Although we don't function like one in terms of candidate attraction and customer support we make revenue in the same way a Recruitment Agency does. We do this by both providing Temporary workers and charging the customer by the day and/or hour or by charging an introduction fee for permanent requirements. This means that following our investment and/or evaluation the only way we can begin to make any revenue is by finding placements for the candidates and trainees. The quicker we do this the faster we get paid!

Candidates having undertaken the training are free to leave Cerco at any time and further their career. We do however ask for a verbal notice to be able to find an alternative candidate for our customers. All work is paid and real. Placements cannot be guaranteed. By surrounding ourselves with the best candidates and investing in them we believe we will be able to supply our customers an unrivalled service in terms of quality of employee.
